We recently came accross a very cool 3rd party product for QlikView that allows users to create reports in MS Excel (NPrinting) and send these in the form of an Excel/PDF file to users. The first impression of these produts look very promissing and when we have conducted a bit more research we will write an article about the products. These products can be found over here: http://www.nprinting.com Give the trial a go and decide for yourself whether this will suit your needs or not.
    Kind regards,
    The QlikConnect Team

    Hi Keller,

NPrinting seems a bit harder to get up and running because of the steeper learning curve. However, it's a great way of getting your data out of your QlikView applications and have it available for reports in excel.

NScheduler is a very nice tool if you would like to distribute excel reports and QlikView reports to your users. This can be automated with NScheduler. The QlikView reports cannot (at this moment) be send by email and hopefully this will be included in one of the upcoming releases (would be great). We haven't tested all functionality of NScheduler but the things we have seen this far have been nothing but satisfactory.
    Kind regards,
    The QlikConnect Team

The most recent release of NScheduler now has this feature which greatly enhances its usefulness particularly for those who have invested heavily in developing Qlikview Reports. You can download a free full featured trial version of the QlikView scheduler here.

We're about to come out with a completely new version which integrates all of the features of both applications under one interface. This version will have a host of new features including:
    • Filters linked to users so that you can filter data on multiple fields and multiple field values for a single user (e.g.; send out a report with sales of babywear for France and Germany only)
    • Create NPrinting templates from within an NScheduler report (no going back and forth between applications)
    • A more stable way of interfacing with QlikView and Excel
    • A bunch of other stuff that are so top secret that we can't talk about them otherwise the programmers would have to kill us.
If you are interested in previewing the new version of NPrinting/NScheduler, send us an e-mail at marketing@nprinting.com so that we can put you on the trial version list and let you know when a public version is ready.

For other problems or queries go to the forum here: http://nscheduler.com/forum/index.php or write us at: support@nprinting.com

You currently have to put QlikView objects into a QlikView report in order to send them out in .pdf format using NScheduler. Do you think that it would be useful to be able to select charts or tables directly and send them out in .pdf format? Input is always welcome.
