We are currently seeking the following:
Business Intelligence Analyst
The primary objective of this position is to provide consulting services to our public sector clients with Business Intelligence initiatives. The BI Analyst will coordinate with business analysts in the development of business views that will be used to generate business intelligence applications supporting the financial, production and operational analytic needs. Our clients utilize QlikView for analytics and consulting services will involve providing assistance on how to get the most from the QlikView implementation. Summary of essential job functions:
- Data sourcing - responsible for sourcing data from numerous source applications used by the client. The process of sourcing data requires a working knowledge of relational and associative data model structures.
- Data profiling - responsible for profiling data from multiple sources and quantifying the validity of the source and the accuracy of the data based on the point of interest. Data profiling requires an understanding of the data context model.
- Transformational processing - responsible for standardizing the data types and format before the source data is entered into the central repository.
- Error/exception handing - responsible for providing a platform for data governance by establishing processes for tagging data that does not meet the organizational standards for data.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. in an information science or related field
- Data management experience
- Data integration experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience
- Experience with QlikView preferred
- Experience with: Data Modeling (Relational, Associative, Contextual) Data Integration( Data Reengineering, Source to Target Mapping, SQL) Microsoft (Shell, ODBC, JDBC, Excel, Word, Project) Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, QlikView) Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase IQ or any column based database)
